Our Tax department handles both Direct and Indirect Taxation and engages Officers in Tax planning, monitoring compliance to various State and Central Tax laws as well as litigation management where need be. Employees working in the Budget and MIS profile are responsible for Investor relationship management as well as creating the MIS reports and presentations to the board. Great emphasis is given to Enterprise Risk management as well as Oil Price Risk management by this team. Not only are they responsible to complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings but they also appraise the adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires. An employee working in the department of pricing works on decision making related to pricing of petroleum and related products as well as pricing of free trade products in the portfolio of HPCL.
They oversee operational systems, processes, and infrastructure at our state of the art facilities like Refinery, LPG, Aviation, Terminals, Depots etc. By following regulatory-based best practices and by use of an in-house optimized logistic assistant tool our Operations Engineers ensure timely supplies of products to our customers. Whether is it a LPG plant, Refinery, Terminal or a pipeline, our project engineers bridge the boundaries between engineering and project management. They proactively steer change management projects, identify problem areas, consult with line management, resolve employee grievances, provide HR policy guidance and engage employees.

Sales Officer plays the pivotal role in marketing of petroleum products to a wide range of B2C and B2B customers. Our Maintenance Engineers work in Refineries, LPG Plants, Projects, Aviation, Operations & Distribution business units and oversee numerous automation facilities using some of the best maintenance management practices in the Industry Engineering, at HPCL is a broad field, there are many engineering jobs across all business units and departments.
Our engineers are required to provide quality service in a timely manner to any issues which arise within our various facilities. Majority of our engineers work in disciplines that include mechanical, electrical, chemical, civil, and instrumentation engineering, among others. Through business process reengineering practices, they identify synergies and develop norms for predicting optimum manpower, modelling process flows and designing organisation structure. To maximize efficiency, our Industrial engineers scientifically study the processes at all our location.
They ensure strong and robust IT services are available for their respective business units like Refinery, LPG, Retail etc. Any organization requires extensive planning and monitoring of its operations as well as knowledge of existing resources. Sales officer is also responsible for maintaining the Brand value and identity of the Corporation
An R&D researcher will also be extensively involved in supporting the existing business functions of the organization by providing technical solutions, Technologies and products to improve the daily operations and mitigate the existing challenges. With the objective of customer value maximization, a sales officer understands customers stated and latent needs and meets them with exceptional products and services with the support and management of HPCL’s channel partners. Through their technical acumen and business communication skills, our Technical Services Officers, help internal sales teams and external clients understand the technical aspects of a product. The key focus is on development of innovative & sustainable solutions, alternate energy, indigenization of technologies and products, process & energy intensification and low-cost solutions. Our IT Business Partners work in close liaison with their business units and IT team.
